The Queen’s University of Belfast’s School of Biological Sciences invites you to our first Climate Change Conference to be held on the 19th March 2020. The event provides an opportunity for staff and students across the university, as well as stakeholders from industry, government and NGOs to showcase the work undertaken to tackle climate change and sustainability both in Northern Ireland and across the globe.

A range of guest speakers will present on the importance of recognising the local and global impacts of climate change as well as what is being done to mitigate and adapt to such impacts, and promoting all dimensions of sustainability. Speakers range from academics to private and public sector representatives, including:

  • Owen Lyttle, Assistant Director of the Environment Policy Division, DAERA
  • Professor Mark Emmerson, Director of Research for Ecosystem, Biology & Sustainability, School of Biological Sciences, QUB
